五、活動目的：藉由本次活動讓與會人士能透過討論及辯論的過程，對議
題有更深入的研究和探討，並呈現本社於學年初至今的活動成果與經驗分
享。

(Economic Inequality in an Interdependent Financial System)
Global inequality is a serious issue affecting millions of people at any
given time, including children representing the next generation of the
country. It is expected that a poorly economically developed country
would suffer from low education, high mortality rate, and affects more
and more aspects of one's life. Without the resources above, it is highly
challenging to change one's life by any means in a poorly functioning
society. Over the last two centuries, uneven development caused by
colonialism, technology advantages, and underdeveloped countries'
incapability to uplevel their industry has started a gap between countries.
The problem is that the gap between the richest and poorest countries in
the world is broadening. In a globalized interdependent economic
system, one country should get the profits equal to its contributions.
However, it is worrisome that underdeveloped countries did not get
enough economic growth and sometimes may have ultimately been
trapped in lacking resources to develop, thus influencing generations.
Through this conference, we hope delegates can work on the project of
helping developing countries to independently earn profits and grow in a
healthy, sustainable circle.

(Measures to Ensure the Basic Living Standard of the Kurdish People)
The Kurds, with a population of approximately 30 million, is now the
largest stateless nation in the world. Since the disintegration of the
Ottoman Turkish Empire after World War I, they have actively seek to
establish their own country. However, this minority group is always
suppressed and oppressed by the surrounding countries. A number of
human rights-promoting organizations in the world have repeatedly
responded to the international human rights persecution suffered by the
Kurds, but there were still little change by making such efforts.
The status of the Kurds had temporarily elevated owing to their
assistance of attacking ISIS with the United States. Nonetheless, after
the US government withdrew all of its military, the Kurds have been
squeezed out and suppressed by the surrounding countries once again.
Many Kurdish people, as a result, left their hometown with survival
threatened. In order to resolve the urgent issue, this committee is looking
forward to discuss the basic living standard of the Kurds, hoping to
improve their living conditions and further foster the protection of
international human rights.
